Personality and Background:
When the original anchor of the ZAFT Carpentaria Base was killed trying to lead a raid against the city of Darwin during March 2013, Dustin once again assumed command. Realizing the futility of trying to remain independent for the duration of the war, he instead offered the services of his base and personnel to the recently formed UNEF. A gentlemanly figure, Bragg is unflinchingly polite to everyone around him and is seen in good light by almost everyone he directly deals with. While this makes him seem rather cold to many, that is exactly what he wants. Having lost his son during the Valentine War, Dustin tried to get away from his family, and his guilt, by taking as far removed a posting as he could.

Placed in command of the 312th Terrestrial Brigade, Dustin is a cautious tactician. He abhors the idea of sending more young soldiers to their deaths, and accordingly adopts defensive stratagems designed to limit losses. However, the increasingly long war is beginning to wear on him. While many of the base personnel see him as a father figure, they equally wonder when he will reach his breaking point.

Personality and Background:
Native to Vladivostok in eastern Russia, Alexi was a born otaku. He took immediately to the crew of the Tenzan class landship he received from After War Gundam X. Working along with its NUNE crew to defend the city from what few raiders occurred in that part of the world. Deciding to join the UNEF, his ship’s compliment was assigned the designation 65th Autonomous Squadron under the Russian Pacific Fleet. Working with the conventional forces of the Russian military, he won a few small victories although he has not participated in any major action as of yet. The 65th has now been reassigned to Carpentaria to participate in Operation Coral alongside the ZAFT forces there.

Alexi is a naturally energetic person, sometimes to the point of being considered harebrained. In addition, he is a natural otaku. Taking immediate and rabid interest in any new mecha brought aboard, he will often sprint down to the hangar of his ship to pester the pilot about every working of his craft. Despite these annoying tendencies, the crew of his ship genuinely likes his eternally positive attitude. He is the yin to Commander Bragg’s Yang, wanting to quickly proceed with the operation schedule in objection to Dustin’s cautious approach.
