Personality and Background: Azrael was born to a hard working middle class family, where he was able to live a somewhat leisureable lifestyle. This meaning he wasn't exactly poor, but his family wasn't one of the richest in the world. His mother always told him that there would always be three different "classes" of people in the world, and his choices in life would decide which class he would be a part of. This reinforced the most iportant thing his parents taught him, that he would one day have to work to earn his way in the world. That day came on December 21, 2012.

He had just left the high school, where he was a student teacher learning from a more experienced teacher, and was on his way home when an earthquake began to occur. A crack appeared in the ground infront of him, and before he could move out of the way his car was going down into the hole. Azrael thought of this as his last moment of life, and closed his eyes, only to feel the car being lifted into the air. He opened his eyes, and caught sight of a blue and black mecha holding ont his car, and bringing it back onto the street.

Once he was on the ground, he stepped out of the car and turned to see the machine standing behind his car. Upon seeing the entire thing, a name popped into Azrael's head. XRAM-006VC Seigerlion. It was crouched down on one knee, and had a hand extended to the ground, waiting for the Az to step onto it. When he did so, the hand raised up to the cockpit and he jumped into it. Examining the control systems, he found that the recognized the systems, but couldn't remember from where.
Soon enough he heard sirens, and thought it would be best to get the Seigerlion out of here before it was discovered. Activavting the thrusters, he launched the machine into the air, and began to fly away from the city. He soon came to his destination: an old abandoned house on the outskirts of town. He landed the Seigerlion behind the house, deciding it would be best to leave him there for now. Until the time that he might need to use it, he would stay in the city and come back every once in awhile to see if it was still where he left it.

A couple of months after the finding of the machine, Azrael had just gotten home from the High school, and turned on the tv in time to catch the U.N.E.F. broadcast. He had known of the fight between the two sides for quite awhile, but hadn't wanted to get involved. After some thought, Azrael decided to join the UNEF and fight alongside them with the Seigerlion. Going to the house he had left the said machine at, he climbed inside the cockpit and headed off toward the nearest military base. Once there, the military detained him, thinking that he might be one of the HRA soldiers, but when he told them he was there for nothing more than to join the military, they allowed it and gave him the rank of ensign.

Azrael is a rather quiet man, who tends to keep to himself, only opening up to those that he seems fairly certain he could get along with. He is willing to do whatever it takes for his comrades as he sees it is what a soldier is meant to do. He likes to listen to music, and watch movies aswell.
