Though the original Z-01 Lancelot is a wildly successful design its designer, Lloyd Asplund, still isn't fully satisfied. Taking the entire design back to the drawing board, he refines it from the ground up, producing an entirely new model rather than simply modifying the existing Lancelot. This new machine, the Z-01Z Lancelot Albion, refines the Lancelot's experimental technologies even further while adding several new ones. The most prominent is Cecilé Croomy's Energy Wing System, an improvement on the Float System. The Energy Wings provide incredible maneuverability and speed as well as a full-body energy shield and the Albion's version would be refined even further, allowing it to release blasts of energy as an offensive measure. Additionally, the original's VARIS Rifle is redesigned into a new form known as the Super VARIS, featuring two standard barrels for standard fire and a concealed larger one used for charged shots. The Albion also mounts Blaze Luminous emitters that were upgraded allowing for the projection of a much larger shield. - Referenced from MAHQ

Discovered by Luciano Sterling in the back gardens of his family's 'current' home in the British countryside. The Z-01Z Lancelot Albion that had appeared before him seemed exactly the same model from the show and was fully equipped and armed. With his new-found knowledge Luke would utilize the Lancelot Albion as a force of good on December 22nd when the majority of people used their new-found 'power' to create chaos. With it's extreme speed, high firepower and plentiful defensive power the Lancelot Albion, despite it's size compared to most other mecha, enabled Luke to protect innocent people as well as his family's own company, the SAI Corportation, from threats by those malevolent pilots. Later when the United Nations Emergency Force came into power Luke left his family to add the speed and firepower of the Lancelot Albion to their forces.
