Lae, Papa New Guinea
September 9, 2013 1430

As the Gurren Lagann and REX entered the city of Lae proper, one of the Shirogane’s communications officers came on over the radio.

“Ricochet 2, Ricochet 3, this is Kingpin. Target has been located in grid Bravo eight. Proceed with mission. Remember kids, you’re going to have to be gentle with this one. Target must be alive and intact. Best of luck and remember, any collateral damage will be deducted from both your pay and Commander Connor's paitence.”

Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl Map2up10

Starting L-7
Moving to I-7

As Lucky lazily piloted Rex forward he was looking at his reflection in the mirror display on the VR hud, adjusting the hat so it steadied perfectly, with the feather dipped to his left.
'Perfect... Now just to find the sweet girl who will go with us on her own without any trouble' He thought to himself feeling hopeful. While it wasnt the mission he was hoping for, not something he could establish a reputation for, he took some solace in the fact that he was helping someone important - and that kind of influence can do a lot along the promotion pipeline. Taking one last check in the mirror Lucky pressed one of the many buttons above his seat and the mirror vanished and instead was replaced by a view of the streets outside him.
"Where is she..." He mumbled as his scanners scanned the nooks and crevices trying to find the supposed girl in this area.

Launching to L-9. Moving to H-9.

Methias watched as Lucky slowly took the initiative in looking for the girl. They could have teamed me with someone more suited for the mission... he thought. Lucky was never very good with women. That was neither here nor there. He needed to focus on the mission at hand, she wasn't going to find herself.

"Lucky I'll take the flank, she shouldn't be too hard to find. Just remember when we do to keep it cool." Methias started working his way towards the location of the Kurita girl, keeping watch for any relevant activity. "And you whatever your name is, you better not mess up." He grumbled to his co-pilot. "Whatever you say boss, and the name's Sid by the way. Try keeping it in mind eh?" his partner replied. Methias didn't care. All that mattered was that it wasn't his brother. He shook his head and continued moving forward.

Starting B-8, moving D-5

Theo's internal clock told her that she had been training in her cyborg form for about an hour now, the crushed columns of concrete and the wrecked steel drums around her attested to that fact. She felt a little down quitting her "work out' after all it was a little constraining holding back her true strength every hour on the hour, but she had a life to live and that life was oh so much easier without having to worry about being labeled as a freak or being hauled off to some government lab to be dissected. In a rather anti-climatic flash of light she reverted back to her regular human form and turned behind her to see two very large, and very dangerous looking mechs.

One was a squat, square thing with a large cannon almost as long as the mech in question was tall, and a radome jutting out of its sides in place of proper arms, two dinosaur like legs propelled it through the ruins of Old Lae. The other mecha looked more human than its compatriot, this one had the look of a giant armored samurai of old, bedecked in a bright garish red armor. They didn't look hostile, but she didn't want to take a chance and decided that (at least for now) caution would be the better of valor. She ducked into an empty alley way and briskly made her way to the city limits, she could always backtrack her way back to the city when the mechs left. Unfortunately, unbeknown to her sparks of green and gold occasionally lit up her steps, a "memento" of her earlier transformation.

Move from H-9 to C-8.

Methias sighed as he moved closer to point. This is far too tedious. Even though he'd always been the kind of guy to try and resolve things without a fight, these missions tended to wear on him. These missions are perfect for Lucky's lazy ass though, he smiled as he brought Lucky up on the screen. "I'm not turning up shit. How's things on your end?"

Move I-7 to D-7

"I'm not turning up shit. How's things on your end?"
'Nothing yet...Oh whats this?' Lucky thought
Rexx came advanced towards an odd energy signature, Lucky approached and just before he turned around for a false alarm call Rexx picked up a girl skipping a ways off. Wearing a grin Lucky opened up his communication link and Methias' face overwhelmed the VR console.
"Got a female heading west, black hair, short... I think we got her."
Lucky stood up and pressed the open cockpit control and he pushed it open and stood up putting his hands up and adjusting his hat one last time. Lucky balanced on his console skillfully careful not to touch anything important and cupped his hands over his mouth and called out
"Ms. Kurita!" he called out "We've been ordered to escort you safely to Port Moresby" as he bowed and took his hat off dipping far enough to brush the feather tip along the console. His smile was long and genuine but he paused and his smile faded as he saw the odd signature Rexx detected trailing perfectly with the girl's steps. 'Odd... What do we have here...' he considered standing straight once more and eyeing his console ready to pounce within Rexx at the soonest possible need.

Staying at D-5

Crap, she thought to herself. How the hell did they find her? No, not even that why the hell where they even looking for her in the first place?! Muttering an aboriginal curse under her breathe she threw her arms up into the air and turned around slowly. She was lean and slender, and could even be considered somewhat pretty if not for the half-rabid scowl on her face. "CYBORG VOICE!" she shouted, activating the internal loudspeaker located in her diaphragm. They had already found her so keeping a low profile was the least of her worries, and Theo wasn't the type of person who liked to repeat herself.

Her voice boomed across the ruined outskirts at a superhuman volume, "Yeah, my last name's Kurita? Now who the hell are you two? and what the f:)ck do you want?! I sure as hell ain't gonna go anywhere with you all if I don't know what the f:)ck you're gonna do with me!" Sure as f:)ck ain't gonna go anywhere if you two bastards start shootin at me.

Got a female heading west, black hair, short... I think we got her.

Methias turned in the direction that Lucky indicated. And there she was. An odd looking girl, but clearly their target.

We've been ordered to escort you safely to Port Moresby.

A look of surprise shone on his face. Maybe we can get back quick enough to clean you up after all, Methias thought. Sid popped up on the com screen. "Whadya think boss? Think she'll come without a fuss?". Before Methias could reply, the girls voice boomed through the outside comm channel...

Yeah, my last name's Kurita? Now who the hell are you two? and what the f:)ck do you want?! I sure as hell ain't gonna go anywhere with you all if I don't know what the f:)ck you're gonna do with me!

Methias looked at the Sid, "I don't know, but be ready."

D7 - standstill.

Yeah, my last name's Kurita? Now who the hell are you two? and what the f:)ck do you want?! I sure as hell ain't gonna go anywhere with you all if I don't know what the f:)ck you're gonna do with me!
Lucky fit his hat of +1 diplomacy neatly back upon his head. He cupped his hands to yell out again but stopped and turned around and flicked the loudspeaker on the hatch behind him.
"Do with you? Bring you to Port Moresby. Those are our orders, as to the question of why, I dunno. We are following orders, and orders don't involve questions most of the time. I could ask you to tell me why as you probably have more information, or we could just go along with the plan. I promise we mean you no harm." Lucky looked back and saw the gigantic form of Gurren Lagann and wondered if that was scaring the girl. "We may be soldiers in the HRA, but we arent the type to shoot unarmed civilians especially of the little girl variety." Lucky went on with a look of genuine concern. But as he spoke the gears turned in his head, 'Why would they send unknown soldiers to pick this girl up without giving her warning... Why does she have an energy signature unknown to Rexx... And what happens if she doesnt wish to come with us willingly...' Lucky's gut soured at the final thought 'Use of non-lethal force...' before chuckling.
"Oh Commander...What kind of situation have you placed us in...?" he whispered.

Staying at D-5

Ok, well that sounded reasonable enough, that is if one chose to ignore the fact that one of the most powerful factions on the planet dispatched not one, but two powerful war-machines to "escort" her. This had her father's cigar and rosewater stink all over it, just the thought of that man's plots and scheme made her temper flare ever so briefly and with it a short burst of green light flashed out from the bronze bell looped around her neck. Not wanting to tempt fate, or the two mechs' guns and....drills? Theo decided to stay put, for now at least. She did however asked one simple question.

"And if I choose not to come with you?"

Methias smiled. This was getting interesting, and the fact that he couldn't get a solid read on this girl made it even better. "Well your choices are yours to make, but orders are orders. And I've never been one to shun the directions I'm given." he said over the loudspeaker. He then brought Lucky up on the comm screen, "Be prepared if she tries to fight. I'd like to wrap this up with as little struggle as possible.". Even though he didn't mind a good fight, he felt deep down that there was no need to fight this girl. Unlike his late brother, Methias knew when to try and a avoid a needless fight.

Staying put
"And if I choose not to come with you?"
And then Lucky's grin faded. He removed his hat and whirled it around his head as he reached down near his console and read the report with his orders.
"Hmm... Upon reinspecting our orders I still come up with that not being a choice I'm afraid." his tone grim. Sighing and releasing his hold on the paper allowing the winds to take it, "I don't know why we're here. I don't know what the conflict is between my orders and your decisions. All I know is that you are to accompany us so we will have to take you, Please don't make us do this... I really don't want to hurt you."
Lucky only briefly thought of how to transport a resistant passenger, but he figured if it needed to be done perhaps the suit with hands should best be the one to do the job. Opening a com line to his partner Lucky sent a message unheard by Ms. Kurita
"We might have to subdue her... You're the one with thumbs so this might be a job for you"

That bastard! She thought to herself That shit eating bastard!

A twinge of doubt flashed over the Kurita girl's face. She did not want to fight these men, after all they didn't seem like bad people well for soldiers anyways, they were just following orders. Though.....while it may be true that the personally didn't mean her an harm, that didn't mean that their superiors shared those sentiments. Also the stench of her father's soiled and calloused hands seemed to only grow stronger ever since this entire incident began, getting some unwitting stooges to do his dirty work for him, was certainly his style. And even if the old cigar chomping bastard wasn't involved their was no way Theo was not going to give up the life that she had. It was a hard won life but ultimately a peaceful one, and Theo had the feeling that if she went with these two heavily armed mechs that that life would be lost to her.

"I'm sorry" she said shaking her head in regret, "I can't come with you I've got my own life to live just like you have yours. I'm not about to let you all take away my freedom."

The slender girl slammed her fists together causing green and gold lightening to envelop her entire body. In that cage of light the young woman's form began to rapidly shift taking the shape of a giant disembodied head.

"BUILD!

A ray of light suddenly pierced the clouds overhead to illuminate the cyborg head, and from that giant rift in the sky numerous brightly colored objects raced down towards the earth

"UP!!!!!!!!!!!!"

One by one tendrils of lightening shot out from the disembodied head to snatch each of the objects out of the sky, the tendrils dragged each part down under the head until finally the parts were assembled into the body of the Steel Champion! The body of KOTETSU JEEG!

Methias watched as the JEEG gathered itself, and felt his heart begin to race in anticipation for the battle he knew was coming. I didn't want it to come to this, but if I must it's gonna have to be quick. God forbid Lucky get's carried away...... A flash of red shot before him at Lucky's feet.

"That was a warning, I don't want to fight you two, but I won't go with you either.....please just leave me alone"

Shit! Controlling this situation was going to be alot harder then expected. "Our orders are for you to come with us, so that is what will be happening. This is not a winning fight Theodore, you're outnumbered and outgunned. You know you don't wanna do this, and I would really rather prefer not to harm you."

Feeling himself tensing up, Methias took a deep breath and relaxed. "You got this Meth. Keep your head clear and your eyes focused.". Jack. He collected himself and assumed a fighting stance. Let's see if you're right.

Moving from D-7 to D-8
Lucky's eyes snapped open when the shot landed in front of his Rexx, staring at the rubble in front as if they would fall from his skull at the mere mention of even one thing more surprising then the situation he was now in. The energy signal Rexx detected from the girl now made sense, but so many more questions came to mind. One in particular was if her political father knew about this, it would make sense if he sent two units to pick her up but if he didn't... How would he advise us to continue...? And the reward for doing so... Burying his face to his diplomatic hat to brace himself from that final realization. 'Reward... Oh do tell what have we stumbled upon...Having something this important under my belt right from the start... Could advancement and political gain be this easy...?' trembling he remembered the form up ahead of him, the abomination that had transformed from the little Kurita girl and his thoughts travelled to what had to be done and the gain. His hat shook and when he removed it from his face his rippled from near crazy laughter at the cyborg before him. He turned and composed himself throwing his hat of diplomacy in the corner of his cockpit, it was no longer needed, and rested his gaze back upon the cyborg. He moved to speak and made sure his voice was still being amplified and sure enough it was, 'Haha...Let her hear my laugh of realization... Maybe it will end things faster'
"Ms. Kurita. This is a new world. A world where who rules it is up to whoever decides to take it. I have plans, aspirations, a line I wish to walk so to speak, and to do that I needed to start at the very, very bottom. But seeing you in regards to this mission which I assumed was still the bottom, I have doubts. I see a golden opportunity... And you will wish you not only stayed in your previous form...But that you didnt show me you could put up a fight either... " Rexx took a few steps backward bracing itself. "Both of these counts will be your ruin. I was shocked at first from your audacity to try and incite fear into me..." He jumped up and landed perfectly within the cockpit as it closed down upon his re-entry. Now Lucky stared through his VR screen that showed him far more detail of the suit and it's build. Rexx then reared it's head and roared mightily down upon it's prey. " You were fair and gave me a warning shot. But I also warned you of your choices, but in case you don't remember them, here they are again. Option A, Come with us. Or option B, come with us and still be a little pretty. I cannot happily take a unarmed girl by force, but now you've helped me with that problem, observe."
Lucky locked on too easily.

Shit She thought to herself as she saw the flurry of missles heading her way. She found herself too shocked to move and took the deadly projectiles head on. An inhuman roar split the afternoon skies of Lae as the missles burrowred into Jeeg's armor and burst open inside the robot sending what felt like torrents of fire and burnng steel throughou her body.

HP: 5000/7500

F:)ck that hurts! but there was something much much more important than the pain coarsing through her body at that moment, and that was the rage that flooded her mind.

"Ms. Kurita. This is a new world. A world where who rules it is up to whoever decides to take it. I have plans, aspirations, a line I wish to walk so to speak, and to do that I needed to start at the very, very bottom. But seeing you in regards to this mission which I assumed was still the bottom, I have doubts. I see a golden opportunity..."

This little bastard was just like her father, a vain manipulative little cocksucker who would do anything to scramble his way up the pathetic little trash heap they called a "new world order" and frankly that pissed her right the f:)ck off. Screaming out of rage, screaming out of a rabid lust for freedom Jeeg emerged from the smoke not to take cover or hide, but to charge forward and to remove this offending insect from her sight.

"MACH DRILL!!!!!!!!!!!"

A pair of large drills suddenly rockected down from the sky behind Jeeg, while the green and gold monstrosity was charging straight at Metal Gear REX. Suddenly sparks of green lightening erupted from the robots chest ripping off the arms of Jeeg, only to shoot out into the sky to catch the drills rapidly approaching Kotetsu Jeeg. With a loud crash the drills latched onto Kurita's cyborg body. The air was ripped and the ground was wrecked as the Cyborg of Steel shot straight at Rex.

The VR screen had a background of a skull laughing as Lucky navigated his Rexx to safety away from the spinning destruction. After watching the cyborg return to where she began, suddenly the laughter cut out and the skull faded... Or were they just in his mind? Looking down at his hands Lucky saw they were shaking and he closed his eyes and calmed himself before focusing on the VR screen again. 'That was close... Too close...' Then he opened up a com line to the Guren Lagann. "Can't have any more of those, we need to put her down." Lucky then looked at his railgun and chuckled. 'Non-lethal force' rang through his mind and he sighed, but figured if he had to use it on a girl, cyborg or no, he had to get his priorities straight. 'Any more of those though...and I'll have to think about it again'

Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl Empty Re: Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl

Approaching the town of Lae from the ocean, Commander Connor grimaced as she saw the standoff currently occurring in the streets. Two of her pilots stood face to face with a smallish Super Robot piloted by her target, Theodore Kurita. Connor sighed as she continued advancing on the town.

”Damn this is distasteful, an Earth Forces officer being used to kidnap a you girl just because her father finds her politically convenient. I really wish I could refuse this particular order, but that damnable Baker won’t give me a choice. Maybe I can just scare her into surrendering, make this go a bit easier on my conscience.”

As the standoff continued, a strong wind began to blow from the south, followed by the rapidly approaching form of the Gespenst performing a flying kick. Over the airwaves, Connor could be heard shouting,

“DYNAMIC ENTRY!”

The landing of the Personal Trooper gouged a long thin trail into the concrete as she skidded to a stop directly in front of Jeeg, placing herself directly between the young Kurita and the HRA forces. Connor hoped her machine would be intimidating, considering that it stood at twice the height of the young woman’s Super Robot. Activating her external speakers, Connor spoke aloud,

“Miss Kurita, I am Commander Connor of the EFG. Please stand down before you endanger the bystanders in the town. This will all be a lot easier if everything is resolved peacefully. Please comply, or I will be forced to take action.”

Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl Empty Re: Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl

"Tch!" The green and yellow super robot clicked a "little" 150 decibel sound of displeasure as she soared straight past the stumpy little dinosaur like mecha. The drills that had replaced her arms just moments earlier had detatched themselves and shot up back into the sky from wherever they came. "Kono Yaro! I'll make sure to skewer that asshole with my next -!!!!!!!" In the middle of her rant The sound of crashing steel and wrecked concrete rocked the cyborg from behind. Turning around quickly with almost human-like movements Jeeg faced the newcomer, and for a split second took a step back before regaining her composure.

A stong yet feminine voice rang out from the gargantuan Gespenst that was now standing between her and her two pursuers.

“Miss Kurita, I am Commander Connor of the EFG. Please stand down before you endanger the bystanders in the town. This will all be a lot easier if everything is resolved peacefully. Please comply, or I will be forced to take action.”

Ok great, so now the EFG was involved. Theo felt like banging her head against a brick wall what with how complicated things were getting now, but refrained from doing so as she was more likely to wreck said wall then relieve the growing headache that was starting to pound inside her titanium skull. She didn't ask for any of this. She just wanted to live her life as a your everyday, regular, neiborhood friendly cyborg. Well, at least this "Connor" sounded like she didn't want any unneccesary trouble.

"Miss...no Commander Connor, I'll ask you the same question I asked Drill Boy and the little grey dinosaur over there. If I stop fighting what will you do with me? Will I be free to go my own seperate way? Or will I be 'escorted' to a undisclosed location of your undoubtedly excellent, and in no way influenced by my father's, choosing?"

Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl Empty Re: Stage 2-B: Daddy's Little Girl

Connor killed her external speakers for a moment and sighed. This confrontation didn’t appear to be one that would be easily resolved.

“Just great, the girl sounds every bit as paranoid as her old man appeared. Can’t say I blame her though, especially given that he’s a spy. Still, there is some room for me to play diplomat.”

The commander’s Gespenst raised one of its hands, index finger outstretched, at the other two HRA machines. Connor opened her communications with them.

“Okay you two; you’ve done enough damage already. Get back to the ship now, and expect to see me the moment I return.”

The two machines hesitated for a moment before they reluctantly obeyed as the officer returned her attentions to Jeeg. As she reactivated her speakers, Connor crossed her fingers.

“The answer to that question depends primarily on your decisions, Ms. Kurita. While I would very much prefer that you accompany me to Port Moresby, my PT alone certainly couldn’t stop you from leaving. However, I can promise you this: if your father is any bit the man I’ve heard about, he won’t stop trying to retrieve you. At the very least if you come with me I promise that my crew and I will do everything in our power to ensure that no harm comes to you.”
